Method and boundaries

The transformation works on detected word or text segments while preserving separators where the tool promises to do so. The same deterministic settings produce the same result when a seed is supported.

Frequently asked questions
Can I remove several suffixes at once?

Yes. Put one pattern on each line. If more than one matches a word ending, the longest pattern is tried first.

What does deep suffix removal do?

Deep removal keeps checking the same word ending and removes matching suffixes until none remains. Turn it off to remove at most one match per word.

Could a suffix pattern remove sentence punctuation?

The tool checks the word ending and, when appropriate, the separator immediately after it. Only a listed pattern is removed; other punctuation stays.

Word boundaries differ between languages and scripts. Long inputs are capped so the page remains responsive; review the output when punctuation, apostrophes, or compound words matter.
