Method and boundaries
The transformation works on detected word or text segments while preserving separators where the tool promises to do so. The same deterministic settings produce the same result when a seed is supported.
- The result is a practical check, not a substitute for formal measurement or validation.
- Word boundaries differ between languages and scripts. Long inputs are capped so the page remains responsive; review the output when punctuation, apostrophes, or compound words matter.
Frequently asked questions
Does it sort the words or the letters inside them?
It keeps words in their original order and sorts the grapheme clusters inside each detected word. Spaces and line breaks are not rearranged.
How are apostrophes, hyphens, and duplicates handled?
By default, an apostrophe stays in place and each side is sorted separately; a hyphen is also kept while its sides are sorted. The drop options remove the mark first, then sort the joined letters. Removing duplicates keeps the first occurrence.
What is the difference between case-insensitive and lower-case mode?
Case-insensitive mode changes only the comparison, so the original characters remain. Lower-case mode converts characters before sorting, which makes the output lower case too.
